Report Definition

You use the Report definition to control the information contained in the report.

In the Report definition, you choose the data you want to report and how you want to filter the data. Data can be filtered by location, material class, resource, and movement.

The Report definition section changes depending on the type of report selected, and whether the periods are reported by column or row. The orientation of the fields changes to match the layout of the report:

  • if periods are reported by row, the fields are aligned so you select the values in rows
  • if periods are reported by column, the fields are aligned so you select the values in columns

In the following descriptions of the Report definition section for different report types the fields are described according to the display of the interface when the periods are reported by row. If periods are reported by column, the fields in the interface are identical, but are aligned as columns across the Report definition section.

Fields in the Report Definition Section for Summary, Detailed, and Location Reports

Field Description
Production location filter

The production locations that are included in the report.

The Production location filter applies to all reporting codes in the group.

Notes:

  • Mining locations are treated differently for Summary reports. For other reports, the average and aggregate values for each mining location are reported separately. For Summary reports, the average or aggregate values for the mining locations are combined and reported.
  • Data for stockpiles and processes is only reported with Summary and Location reports.

Tip: You can use wildcards to specify more than one location. To specify the locations using the Wildcard Expression Builder, click the Ellipsis button.

Development location filter

The development headings that are included in the report.

The development location filter applies to all reporting codes in the group.

Tip: You can use wildcards to specify more than one heading. To specify the headings using the Wildcard Expression Builder, click the Ellipsis button.

Report locations individually
  • Selected: The summary data for each mining location is reported separately. Each report code is reported separately for each heading and location in the development and production location filters, with the data grouped by heading or location. When you select Report locations individually, the heading or location name is written to the first title line, overwriting anything that is defined in the first title line.
  • Cleared: The summary data for headings and mining locations is reported cumulatively.

Note: This check box is available only if the Report type is Summary.

Title

If you selected Automatic titles, you cannot change this field.

If you selected Custom titles, the number of Title lines defined are displayed. You can type the information you want to appear in each title line of the report in the fields. You can use MineSched keywords in the title. These keywords are used to represent values defined in other fields of the Report definitions section. The available keywords are described in the following table.

Title Keywords

Keyword Description
[Value] The Value being reported in the column.
[Locations] The Locations being reported in the column. If the report code group is being reported individually, the individual location name is used.
[Materials] The Materials classes being reported in the column.
[Resources] The Resources being reported in the column.
[Movement] The Movement being reported in the column.

It is recommended that you specify the reporting code, the locations for which the code is reported, and the material classes being reported in the title. If you are reporting on fill locations, it is recommended that you specify in the title whether you are reporting the material added or the balance on the location. If you are reporting on stockpiles or processes, it is recommended that you specify in the title whether you are reporting the material added, removed, or the balance on the location.

Filtering
Value

The reporting code on which you want to report.

The drop-down list provides the Standard codes, Qualities, User parameters, User calculations, and Ancillary activities. The standard report codes are described in the following table.

Note: If you convert a Detailed or Summary report to a Bench report, the first Value in the converted report becomes the Property of the Bench report. If the first Value for the converted report was an ancillary activity, no data is generated and the report is blank.

Standard Report Codes

Report Code Description Valid for Report Types
AREA The area mined. All
DATE_FINISH The date that the last activity finishes in a location, polygon, or solid. When reporting by bench, it is the date that mining finishes in the bench. All

RESOURCES The resources used. All
SOLID The object reached at the end of the period or, in Detailed reports, the object number. All
TEXT= Any text that you want to write to the field. You type the specific text you want to write to the field in the format TEXT=example. All
TKM

When Haulage Routes are defined, you can report the tonnes per kilometre hauled. Tonnes per kilometre can be split into different gradient ranges.

To specify that the TKM is to be split by gradient range, type the TKM code, followed by a colon, followed by a lower range value, a semi-colon, and an upper range value. For example, to report the TKM for gradient equal to or greater than 0% and less than 10%, the code would be TKM:0;10. All gradient values are percentages.

All
TRUCKS

The number of trucks required in the scheduling period to move the specified material. The number of trucks is calculated based on the:

  • haulage capacity of the truck types
  • full and empty velocities along the haul routes
  • loading and dumping times
  • availability, utilisation, and efficiency factors
All
TRUCK_HOURS The total trucking time in hours in the scheduling period required to move the specified material. The truck hours is calculated based on the haulage capacity of the truck types, full and empty velocities along the haul routes, and loading and dumping times. All

X_CENTROID The X coordinate of the centroid of the polygon. Detailed
Y The northing of the last block mined in the period. Summary
Y_CENTROID The Y coordinate of the centroid of the polygon. Detailed
Z The elevation of the last block mined in the period or, in detailed reports, the elevation of the polygon or bench. All
Production

The production locations for which you want to report on the Value report code.

The specific location filter acts on locations that have already passed the global Production location filter. Locations which satisfy both filters are included in the report.
